Corona Virus “The Contradiction”
Welcome to Radiance Vitality, we are a holistic based practice spreading love, light and awareness.
Never has the sky looked so blue, the grass appear so much greener than normal, and the air felt so good.
I’ve lived in Aylesbury for 8 years. I have never really taken in or paid attention to the beauty of the nature around me. Its inspired me to write this first blog.
The daisy’s lighting the way on our daily walks. The sound of the birds chirping, the flowers glistening.
The warmth of the sun on my skin, making me feel so happy, in a time of uncertainty.
You see, we have always been too busy. RUSH RUSH RUSH.
How many times have you said?
“I just don’t have time.”
A global pandemic takes place and stops everyone in their tracks.
Corona Virus Outbreak.
If someone would have said this would have happened, even 6 months ago we would have said “impossible” and laughed.
We certainly aren’t laughing now.
The Corona Virus something that has completely stopped the world from moving, has got me thinking whilst sat in my garden for the fourth week in quarantine, a new way of life we have been living.
How can something bring so much hurt, fear, anxiety and panic also bring so much love, acceptance truth and perspective?
A cruel contradiction but also a life changing lesson?
The world has stopped, we have had no choice but to slow down and listen to each other, hear mother nature’s calling. The world needed time to heal and rest. We had taken it all for granted.
Air pollution has plummeted, Venice’s canals have cleared up, animals have reclaimed land.
We needed something to stop us in our tracks, I know that sounds horrid….. but hear me out.
You see, we were living in a terrifying world. A world filled with jealously, resentment, bitterness and hate.
Egos high on what they own or make a month, happiness believed to be what you look like outwardly instead of looking inwardly. Social media betraying unrealistic images of women’s bodies causing depression and resentment of our own self-image. We were losing our way….
I for one, have experienced falling into the trap above… the rat race. Wanting to be accepted and liked, but at what cost?
This last year, I have worked with my inner-self to strip back and find out who is really Chantelle Collier?
A different story for a different day.
We had lost touch of the true meaning of life.
The best gift of all….
LOVE
To share and feel LOVE.
HAPPINESS
True authentic HAPPINESS.
The things in life you cannot buy. We needed a huge shift of perception to align us all, we had forgotten our fundamental basics of life. Unconditional love, gratitude, hope and faith.
How grateful do you feel right now to have somewhere to bare your head? A place to call your home?
Suddenly all the things you hated in your home; you realise aren’t so bad.
How much do you realise you miss your family and human touch?
Freedom of being able to go where you want and when?
Children are now spending quality time with their parents, learning key skills like cooking and riding bikes etc. Instead of being ignored because we are too busy.
Workaholics forced into a slower pace of life, making them realise, what is the point of it all ? In all of it, if you don’t recognise your own family?
Crazy scheduled families with too much on, rushing here, rushing there. Recognising now, something has to give. You can’t obtain inner peace, if your outer circumstance doesn’t match your environment.
Just like that, overnight stay at home mums aren’t being questioned by their partners anymore. “What do you do all day?”
We are learning to fall in love all over again. This time with life.
Suddenly you realise that power beauty and money are worthless.
We are learning to appreciate food, water, shelter, human connection, laughter and love.We are communicating better, social media is being used to unite instead of tear each other down.We are learning to fall in love with our world again, and above all else. This is worth fighting for.
Our walking contradiction of devastation and realisation.
How can something so awful and cruel bring so much enlightenment and lifechanging perspectives?
They say there is no light without darkness,no good without evil, no right without wrong.
That nothing can exist, if its direct opposite does not exist either.
Our keyworker the heroes without the capes, putting their lives at risk every day? But why?
They have seen the devastation of this virus, the losses, pain and grief.
Their faces hurting from protection masks, the cleaner’s hands cracked and red raw.
The parents weeping that they can’t come home to their children, after a shift at work in case they give it to them.
Hugs and kisses suddenly become weapons and not visiting families and friend become an act of love.
The frontline workers do this out of the love in their hearts, kindness in their souls for the greater good.
So once again we can all be together.
May we remember their bravery, and not forget their courage, once this becomes a distant memory.
Showing us and leading the way, that despite all evil there is always hope and faith.Let’s not let their hard work go to waste. May they never feel undervalued or unappreciated again.
WHAT TO DO IN A GLOBAL PANDEMIC?
Some people find themselves over functioning, completing tasks, writing blogs, taking action whilst facing a global pandemic, fear, anxiety, grief and the feeling of powerless.
Others under function slow down, stop, internalise rest and do nothing.
Both valid and neither right or wrong.
Whatever you choose, please choose to be kind to one another and appreciate we are all different. We all have different beliefs and perspectives.
Once again, we shall taste fresh coffee in coffee shops, hear laughter in bars, the background noise of freedom in London, music filling the stadiums, children playing in playgrounds and we shall experience the magic of opportunities all around us.
The arms of our loved ones, wrapped around us, hugging us so tight we can barely breathe, fighting back our tears of gratitude we made it through this crazy time.
Because when we look around us, and really take it all in….. life is truly beautiful.
Never will I ever, take a beautiful day in my garden for granted again.
Sending love and light.
Stay safe.

This is beautiful! So well written and what a lot of people are thinking myself included!
May we come out if this better human beings and may we not take life for granted again.
Love this! We are creatures of habit so unsettling not having a routine. But we will never get this time back with our kids! Every school holiday Rico is in clubs so I’m greatful for this time, and if course it helps the sun is shinning! Great read!
So true and beautiful I’m reading this as I suck cheesy wotsits and realise it doesn’t matter if I’m on my 3rd packet because I know I am happy and safe in my little house with my beautiful kids and that I workout occasionally to balance it out xx
Beautifully written, so proud of you never stop being you 💕
Absolutely amazing words ❤️
